Overview
- The HPE StoreEver Rack-mount Kit provides a high-density, rack-mountable tape drive and Removable Disk Backup System solution for both direct-attach USB or SAS backup and archiving applications, or a combination of both LTO drives and RDX docks in the same 1U rack-mount kit. Available in a generic format supporting both SAS and USB interfaces, the 1U HPE StoreEver Rack-mount Kit accommodates up to two half-height internal tape drives with a maximum capacity of 60 TB (compressed) using two HPE LTO-8 Ultrium 30750 drives. The 1U enclosure also supports up to two internal HPE RDX docks with a maximum capacity of 8 TB per backup session when using two HPE RDX 4 TB USB removable hard disk drives.

- The enclosures support standard internal LTO tape drives and HPE RDX Removable Disk Backup Systems, allowing for drive upgrades when you need additional capacity or want to migrate to a new generation of LTO tape drives or RDX removable disk technology.
- Provides up to 60 TB of storage capacity (assuming 2.5:1 compression) using two LTO-8 Ultrium 30750 drives or up to 8 TB of storage capacity using two RDX 4 TB removable hard disk drives
- Data transfer rates up to 600 MB/sec (native) using two LTO-8 Ultrium 30750 drives or up to 360 GB/hour using two RDX removable hard disk drives
- In addition to no tools required for installation, the HPE StoreEver Rack-mount Kit provides top access and a removable drive tray for easier access to LTO tape drives and RDX removable hard-disk drives.
- The HPE StoreEver 1U Generic Rack-mount Kit allows customers to rack-mount SAS-based tape drives and USB-based RDX hard disk drives for industry first flexibility with the selection of appropriate cabling.
